Watson & Lou's doors are nearly open, and we are SO excited to be embarking on the project of a lifetime. Between meeting coolest local makers and getting loads of support from local business advisories and informal groups, we can't imagine a better place than creative, tight-knit, wonderful little Peterborough to start a business.
Our space at 383 Water is nearly done its transformation from a dark, wood-panelled hobbit hole into a bright, open space for shopping and learning and working and making. For more progress shots, stay tuned to our Instagram feed.
We hope you will join us for our Grand Opening on September 8th from 5-10pm! There will be treats, bubby beverages, and plenty of incredible handmade and independently designed goods to feast your eyes on.
At the party, we'll invite you to top the recently proposed slogan "Where Roads and Rivers Meet" by adding your own #ptboslogan to a live collaborative art project... and some of our makers are preparing their own to share ;)
ALSO, September 8th is downtown's First Friday Art Crawl, and Evans Contemporary is right next door. You can do it all!
In the meantime, check out our fall workshop schedule. We'll be adding more as we go, but so far, we've got some EXCELLENT events lined up with the lovely and talented Natalie Raponi of Heck Yes! Up first is her Succulent and Desert Garden Workshop, with spots available September 15th and 19th. Everything she does is magical, so don't miss out.
And if you are a freelancer/maker/artist in the area who might like to put on some pants and leave your home studio some days, check out our membership offerings.
For those of you in far flung places, you'll be able to shop online very soon! Like, mid-September soon!
Thanks to you, our cheerleaders, for helping us believe in this little dream and shine a brighter light on our talented community. We couldn't do it without you! Seriously!
See you soon,
Anna and Erin
