From Jackson Creek Press:

"Spasm at the Spill, celebrating 50 years of the Nihilist Spasm Band.

40 pages, coptic bound with belly band cover.

A tribute to the world's oldest noise band, this book collects 21 hand-carved lino cuts, along with keywords from the band's career, printed from antique wood type into this book produced in a limited edition of just 60 copies.

All aspects of the book were produced by Jeffrey Macklin, of Jackson Creek Press in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. The insides of the book were printed from hand-carved blocks and antique, hand-set, wood and lead type. This was hand-printed on a F.A.G. proof press, built in 1947.

Like the band and it's "music", this is a ramshackle book of block cuts and type, inspired by a performance by the Nihilist Spasm Band at The Spill Café, March 2015 - which marked 50 years of the bands existence.

The forward for the book was written by Thurston Moore and Byron Coley, both massive fans of the band. In fact, NSB have opened for Sonic Youth on a number of occasions, and have toured around the world."

Made by Jeff Macklin of Jackson Creek Press in Peterborough, Ontario.
