These beautiful, plastic-free paints are made by Beam Paints, an Indigenous female-owned and operated business on Manitoulin Island. Anong Beam was raised by artists, and taught from a young age to harvest hematite pigment from the LaCloche mountains near her home in M'Chigeeng First Nation.
Each paint is handmade from lightfast pigments, tree sap, gum arabic, and Manitoulin honey, and sustainably packaged in waxed cloth offcuts from another Manitoulin Island business. Wow!! (We are in love.)
forests paintstones includes four colours: colours of the deep summer forest; spring green, robins egg, pine, and boreal green.
