W&L owner and fibre art enthusiast Erin Ebenbauer (nee Watson) is hosting her weaving workshop again this March Break for crafty kids ages 5-13.
This workshop will provide all the required materials and step-by-step instruction on the basics of weaving. Once everyone gets the hang of the simple over-under technique, they'll be off to the races and ready to play around with some different textures and accents to create their one of a kind wall tapestry.
Lucky for us all, weaving is very forgiving so no previous experience is necessary. The best part is that you likely already have most materials to recreate the experience and practice at home!
Materials provided:
- cardboard loom (6x8" with slices .5" apart at the top)
- yarn, ribbon, and/or old ripped up t-shirts
- plastic fork
- wooden dowel (or a stick from the backyard!)
- scissors
Water & snacks provided.
The details:
383 Water Street, downtown Peterborough.
Wednesday, March 15th; 10am-12pm OR 1:30pm-3:30pm
$35/child
*Tickets are workshop-specific and non-refundable, but can be transferred to a friend in the event of unanticipated circumstances.
Please help us keep W&L free of synthetic fragrance and refrain from wearing perfume or other heavily scented products. Thank you!
