Artist: Ella Verner

With a passion for mixed media illustrations, Ella creates her work with a unique perspective and a love for combining analogue with traditional methods.

Ella is an illustrator based in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, and a recent graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design. She also graduated from Sir Sanford Fleming College in the Pre Service Firefighting program and is an Emergency Medical Responder, serving her community as a volunteer firefighter since 2018. Much of her artwork reflects her first hand experiences as a first responder, and her graduating thesis project at OCADU focused on celebrating women first responders around the world and throughout history. Ella has a passion for helping others, whether they be humans or creatures! She raises Monarch butterflies every summer and teaches others about the importance of conservation and protecting these special endangered pollinators!
