Our cozy self-standing stubby candle is perfect for adding a poetic atmosphere to your creative work, intimate gatherings, and personal rituals. These candles have an extra wide (1¾” base), so they don’t require a candlestick with a fluted holder, but can self-stand on a firm, heat-resistant base (I personally really like a brass plate). Their very subtle honey scent is naturally present in the beeswax, and is unobtrusive. Beeswax burns cleans and bright and is virtually dripless, although all candles should be burned on a heat-resistant surface, and away from drafts if the wick starts to flicker.

They are made only of 100% local beeswax and an unbleached cotton wick, and are hand-dipped in small batches in my garden studio. All of our candles are packaged in FCS certified and recyclable or compostable materials.

FOR THE IDEAL BURN: To get the most out of your candle, trim the wick to 1/4” before each lighting. Always burn in a draft-free area, on a heat-resistant surface. Beeswax candles are virtually dripless, but if your candle is dripping or your wick is flickering, it’s likely that either your wick is too long, or your candle is in a draft. This self-standing stubby candle can it most suited to longer burns of at least 45 minutes, to ensure the candle burns evenly down the entire length of the candle.
